The Royal Tutor Stage Musical's Cast Visual, September Debut Revealed

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Musical stars same main cast as anime

The staff for the stage musical of Higasa Akai's The Royal Tutor (Ōshitsu Kyōshi Heine or Königliche Familie Lehrer) manga unveiled a main cast visual and the debut date on Wednesday.

The musical will run at Tokyo's Zepp Blue Theater Roppongi from September 7 to September 10, and in Osaka's Morinomiya Piloti Hall from September 16 to September 18. Kōtarō Yoshitani is directing the musical.

The main cast of the anime (Yūya Asato, Yūto Adachi, Keisuke Ueda, Daisuke Hirose, Shōta Aoi, shown left to right in image above) will return as the main cast members for the musical. A visual for the play duplicates a similar visual for the anime:

The first Blu-ray Disc and DVD home video volume of the anime will contain a priority sales application ticket for the stage play. The first volume will ship on June 30.

The anime premiered on TV Tokyo and TV Osaka on Tuesday. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs in Japan.

Yen Press began releasing the manga as e-books in English in 2015, and it describes the story:

Accepting the post of Royal Tutor at the court of the king of Grannzreich, Heine Wittgenstein is a little professor with a big job ahead! Each of the kingdom's four princes has a rather distinct personality. Does their diminutive new instructor have what it takes to lay down some learning? It's a comedy of educational proportions!

Akai launched the manga in Monthly G Fantasy in November 2013, and Square Enix published the eighth compiled book volume and a new official character book on March 27.
