PS4/PS Vita/PC game ships on June 6 in N. America, June 9 in Europe

NIS America began streaming a new introduction trailer for its release of Cladun Returns: This is Sengoku! (Classic Dungeon Sengoku) on Tuesday. The trailer reveals the game's story, gameplay, and the ability to edit sprites in a pixel editor.

NIS America will release the game physically and digitally on PlayStation 4 and digitally on PlayStation Vita in North America on June 6, and in Europe on June 9. The game will also launch on PC via Steam on June 6. Nippon Ichi Software released the game for PlayStation Vita in Japan on May 26.

The action role-playing game's story takes place in Arcanus Cella, the same world that the previous games took place in. The time period is the Warring States era, and many who have lingering regrets after death find themselves in Arcanus Cella. The only way to escape the world back to the cycle of death and rebirth is by fulfilling their regrets.

Players can customize their characters, and choose from eight different weapon types: katana, blunt weapon, staff, lance, bow, short sword, shuriken, and sickle and chain. The different character job types include: warrior, necromancer, master swordsman, noble, sorcerer, merchant, and sinful monk.

The game features the option to choose between modern and retro background music.

Cladun Returns: This is Sengoku! is the newest entry in the Cladun series. Nippon Ichi Software released the 8-bit style RPG Cladun: This is an RPG for PlayStation Portable in 2010 and a sequel, Cladun X2, in 2011. NIS America released the first game in 2010 in North America and Europe, and it released ClaDun X2 on the PlayStation Network in North America in August 2011 and on Steam in August 2012.
