Artist Kōsuke Yamanami will focus on recovering to be able to draw again

The June issue of Ichijinsha's Comic Rex magazine revealed on April 27 that writer Makoto Fukami and artist Kōsuke Yamanami's Sekai o Yoku Suru Zankoku na Method (Cruel Method to Make the World Better) manga is ceasing publication due to Yamanami's worsening health. The manga had been on hiatus since the May issue for the same reason. The announcement stated that Yamanami will focus on recovering enough to be able to draw again.

The manga centers on 17-year-old protagonist Gekitetsu Amō, who does not stand out in school, but under the excuse of "eliminating harmful elements from the world" begins committing mass murder. The manga launched in Comic Rex on December 27.

Fukami is best known for writing the scripts to the Psycho-Pass television anime and the anime film (he did not return for the Psycho-Pass 2 television anime sequel). He has also written or overseen scripts in such anime as School-Live!, Yuruyuri Nachu Yachumi!+, Yuruyuri San Hai!, Berserk, and the Resident Evil: Vendetta movie. He has written the story for such manga as Chotto Kawaii Iron Maiden (collaboration with artist Alpha AlfLayla) and Ōsama-tachi no Viking (collaboration with artist Sadayasu).

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed Fukami and Seigo Tokiya's Magical Girl Special Ops Asuka (Mahō Shōjo Tokushusen Asuka) manga, and will release the first volume on November 28.
