Tales, Taiko no Tatsujin Games Slated for Nintendo Switch by March 2018

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 also planned for release on Switch

Bandai Namco Group released its March 2017 balance sheet presentation on Wednesday and revealed that Tales, Taiko no Tatsujin, and Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (tentatively titled) games are planned for release for the Nintendo Switch during the current fiscal year. The company's 2017 fiscal year began on April 1 and ends on March 31, 2018.

The latest game in the main Tales series, Tales of Berseria, shipped for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in Japan on August 18. The role-playing game then shipped for PlayStation 4 in North America on January 24 and in Europe on January 27. Bandai Namco Entertainment also released the game for PC via Steam worldwide on January 27.

The Taiko no Tatsujin (Taiko: Drum Master) rhythm series' latest game, Taiko no Tatsujin: Dokodon! Mystery Adventure, shipped for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on June 16. The series marked its 15th anniversary in 2015. The franchise had more than 4,000 arcade machines in operation in Japan, and Bandai Namco Entertainment had also shipped more than 8 million copies of its various console versions of the game as of 2015.

Bandai Namco Entertainment released the Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 game for PS4 and Xbox One in North America on October 25 and in Europe on October 28. The company released the game on PC via Steam worldwide on October 28, and released the game for PS4 in Japan on November 2.
