C3 AFA Bangkok to Host Yasuaki Takumi, Kengo Kawanishi, Junichi Suwabe, Tomohisa Sakō as Guests

Convention takes place on June 10-11

The Anime Festival Asia convention announced on Friday that voice actors Yasuaki Takumi, Kengo Kawanishi, and Junichi Suwabe will attend the convention as guests. Tomohisa Sakō will also attend as a musical guest.

Takumi and Kawanishi will represent Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans as one of the featured anime for the event. Suwabe will represent featured anime Gekijōban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game.

Takumi made his major voice acting debut in 2009 with the Bakugan Battle Brawlers: New Vestroia anime, where he played the character Ace. He has played characters in such anime as Moshidora (Daisuke Niimi), The Familiar of Zero F (Ari), Recently, my sister is unusual. (Shōtarō Torii), Lord Marksman and Vanadis (Olivier), Plastic Memories (Tsukasa Mizugaki), and Love Tyrant (Tarō Tsuruoka). In Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, he voices the character Akihiro Altland.

Kawanishi debuted as a voice actor in 2006, and made his major debut as Gael in Heroes ~Legend of Battle Disks~ in 2013. He has voiced characters in such anime as A Lull in the Sea (Gaku Egawa), Aldnoah.Zero (Kisaki Matsuribi), Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma (Shōji Satō), The Anthem of the Heart (Kazuharu Yamaji), Prince of Stride: Alternative (Aoi Shima, Arata Samejima), March comes in like a lion (Rei Kiriyama), and Kabukibu! (Jin Ebihara). He voices protagonist Mikazuki Augus in Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.

Suwabe made his major voice acting debut in 1998 as Ain in the DT Eightron anime. Suwabe's career spans anime, games, radio, television, and music, and he performs theme songs for some of the anime where he appears. He has voiced roles in such anime as Fate/stay night (Archer), Bleach (Grimmjow Jaegerjaquez), Yuri!!! on Ice (Victor Nikiforov), Uta no Prince-sama (Ren Jinguji), The Prince of Tennis (Keigo Atobe), My Hero Academia (Shota Aizawa), Natsume's Book of Friends (Seiji Matoba), Space Dandy (Dandy), One Piece (Vergo), and Fairy Tail (Freed). In Gekijōban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game, he voices Daiki Aomine.

Sakō hails from the city of Sapporo in Hokkaido prefecture, and began writing songs after he graduated from high school. In 2009, he began uploading songs online under the handle ShōnenT. He self-published a CD of original songs titled "Promise" under the name "Tomohisa" in 2011. He made his major debut under SME Records with the single "Ai no Kotoba" in 2012, now using his full name. He has since released 12 singles and two albums. He has performed theme songs for such anime as You and Me. Season 2, Blast of Tempest, Meganebu!, Pokémon XY, and Natsume Yūjin-Chō Roku.

The event will take place at the Royal Paragon Hall at the Siam Paragon Shopping Center in Bangkok, Thailand on June 10 and 11.

The featured anime for the event include Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale, Attack on Titan, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, and Gekijōban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game.

Voice actress Yūki Kuwahara will represent Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, for which she played the role of Tohru. Kanae Itō will represent Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale, for which she played the role of Yui. Yui Ishikawa will represent the currently-airing second season of Attack on Titan, for which she plays Mikasa Ackerman. Voice actor Tohru Furuya (Mobile Suit Gundam's Amuro Ray, Sailor Moon's Tuxedo Mask), "live idol" Reon Kurosaki, and pop unit SpringChu♡bit will also be present.

Chihiro Yonekura (Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team, Soul Hunter, Fairy Tail) and May'n (Macross Frontier, Aquarion Logos, Izetta: The Last Witch) will attend as the convention's musical guests.

The event will also host a screening of the final Tokyo concert of last year's “HATSUNE MIKU EXPO 2016 Japan Tour,” and a "ULTRAMANHEROES LIVE STAGE IN-BANGKOK2017," where Ultraman, Ultraman Seven, and Zero will make an appearance.

The event will be the first event in content company Sotsu Co., Ltd. and Singaporean events and marketing agency SOZO Pte Ltd.'s "C3 AFA" joint events that bring together their C3 and Anime Festival Asia events. Aside from Bangkok, Thailand, the events will also run in Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong.
