Anime Expo to Host Production I.G's Mitsuhisa Ishikawa, Kazuto Nakazawa, Rui Kuroki

President, character designer, producer to attend July convention

The organizers of the Anime Expo convention announced on Thursday that the event will host Production I.G president and CEO Mitsuhisa Ishikawa, director and character designer Kazuto Nakazawa, and producer Rui Kuroki. They will appear at the Production I.G panel on Saturday and the FLCL 2 & 3 panel on Sunday.

Ishikawa graduated college and worked at Tatsunoko Productions before founding the spinoff studio Production I.G (then known as I.G Tatsunoko) in 1987. He has served as the producer or executive producer for Attack on Titan, FLCL, Blood: The Last Vampire, Ghost in the Shell, Psycho-Pass, xxxHOLiC, Haikyu!!, A Letter to Momo, and Miss Hokusai.

Nakazawa directed and animated the Kill Bill Chapter 3: The Origin of O-Ren segment of Kill Bill: Vol. 1, and animated the Linkin Park music video for "Breaking the Habit. He also served as character designer for Samurai Champloo, Terror in Resonance, House of Five Leaves, and DAYS.

He is directing the upcoming B: The Beginning anime (formerly titled Perfect Bones) at Production I.G. The anime is slated to premiere on Netflix in 2018.

Kuroki worked with Nakazawa on Kill Bill Chapter 3: The Origin of O-Ren. His animation producer credits include Psycho-Pass, Kuroko's Basketball, Bungaku Shōjo, Blue Spring Ride, and the upcoming B: The Beginning anime.

This year's Anime Expo convention will run from July 1 to July 4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. In addition, the convention will formally include a preview night a day before on June 30.
