Simulcast premieres on July 5, 11:00 p.m. GMT +8

Aniplus-Asia announced on Tuesday that it will air a simulcast of the television anime of Hiroyuki's Ahogaru: Clueless Girl (Aho Girl) manga. The simulcast premieres on July 5, and will air every Wednesday at 11:00 p.m. GMT +8.

The anime's cast includes:

Aoi Yūki as Yoshiko Hanabatake

Tomokazu Sugita as Akuru Akutsu

Sayaka Harada as Sayaka Sumino

Sumire Uesaka as Public Morals Committee Chairwoman

Aniplus-Asia describes the anime:

Yoshiko is an incredibly clueless high school girl with a fatal weakness for bananas. Due to her hopeless intellect, her devoted friends have no choice but to hang around and make sure nobody takes advantage of her.

The anime will premiere in Japan on July 4 on Tokyo MX on Tuesdays at 11:00 p.m., on Sun TV on Tuesdays at 24:00 (effectively Wednesdays at 12:00 a.m.), and on BS11 on Tuesdays at 26:00 (effectively Wednesdays at 2:00 a.m.). Each episode will be 15 minutes long.

Keizou Kusakawa (Problem children are coming from another world, aren't they?, Unlimited Fafnir) is serving as chief director, and Shingo Tamaki (chief animation director on Day Break Illusion) is directing at diomedéa. Takashi Aoshima (Gabriel DropOut, The Troubled Life of Miss Kotoura) is in charge of the series scripts, and Masakazu Ishikawa (Squid Girl, Campione!) is designing the characters. angela (K, Fafner) is performing the opening theme song "Zenryoku☆Summer!" and Sumire Uesaka (This Art Club Has a Problem!, Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san) is performing the ending theme song "Odore! Kyūkyoku Tetsugaku."

Hiroyuki (Doujin Work, The Comic Artist and His Assistants) launched the four-panel comedy manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2012, but moved it to Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine, where it is ongoing, in June 2015. Kodansha shipped the eighth compiled book volume in October. The ninth volume will ship in June, and will reveal a new project for the franchise.
