Fire Emblem Heroes Adds More Swimsuit Costumes, Fire Emblem Echoes Characters

Nintendo began streaming a trailer on Friday that showcases more "summer" versions of characters and the new "Nohrian Summer" paralogue for its Fire Emblem Heroes smartphone game. The new summer version characters include Elise, Xander, Leo, and female Corrin from Fire Emblem Fates. The characters are all wearing bathing suits and have summertime themes.

Earlier this month, an update to the game added other characters in swimsuits, including Tiki, Frederick, Gaius, and female Robin from Fire Emblem Awakening, as well as a new paralogue story "Ylissean Summer."

Nintendo also recently added more characters from Fire Emblem Echoes -Shadows of Valentia-, including Leon, Saber, and Sonya from Celica's army, and Mathilda, Gray, and Delthea from Alm's army. These updates accompanied a new "Bitter Enemies" story chapter.

In the game, players take on the role of a summoner who can summon heroes from previous Fire Emblem games. The characters have new illustrations from a variety of artists and newly recorded voice-overs. Like the main games in the Fire Emblem series, Fire Emblem Heroes features tactical battles where the player commands an army. In addition to the main quest, the game offers a training mode for leveling up the characters.

Nintendo released Fire Emblem Echoes -Shadows of Valentia- for the Nintendo 3DS in North America and Europe on May 19.
