Tagalog-dubbed Sword Art Online, Flame of Recca, Fushigi Yugi also added to service

Southeast Asian streaming service iflix added the Sword Art Online, Flame of Recca, Fushigi Yugi, Assassination Classroom, Hunter × Hunter: Phantom Rouge, and Hunter × Hunter -The Last Mission- anime to its service last Saturday. All series and films are also available with Tagalog dubs. The anime is the first time that Assassination Classroom and the two Hunter × Hunter films will be available with Tagalog dubs. Philippine-based licensor Telesuccess Productions produced the dubs.

iflix describes Sword Art Online:

In the year 2022, virtual reality has progressed by leaps and bounds, and a massive online role-playing game called Sword Art Online (SAO) is launched. With the aid of "NerveGear" technology, players can control their avatars within the game using nothing but their own thoughts. Kazuto Kirigaya, nicknamed "Kirito," is among the lucky few enthusiasts who get their hands on the first shipment of the game. He logs in to find himself, with ten-thousand others, in the scenic and elaborate world of Aincrad, one full of fantastic medieval weapons and gruesome monsters. However, in a cruel turn of events, the players soon realize they cannot log out; the game's creator has trapped them in his new world until they complete all one hundred levels of the game.

The television anime adapting Reki Kawahara's light novel series of the same name premiered in 2012, with a second season in 2014. It has also inspired an anime special, and an anime film, as well as multiple manga series, games, and a virtual reality demonstration in Japan.

iflix describes Flame of Recca:

Recca is a boy living in the modern world, only he seems drawn to following the ways of the ninja. On the day he befriends a girl named Yanagi who has a mysterious power of healing, he is confronted and challenged by a Dark Priestess. This battle leads Recca to discover a strange power within himself. Afterwards, he finds that not only is his past and destiny not as crystal clear as he had thought, but there are others with powers practicing the way of the ninja who challenge him one after another.

The series premiered in 1997. The anime adapts Nobuyuki Anzai's manga of the same name. The story follows Recca, a boy who claims to be a ninja and will serve whomever defeats him in combat. One day he meets a girl named Yanagi who can heal almost any injury. He chooses to serve her and finds out that he has his own special powers as a descendant of the Hokage ninja clan.

iflix describes Fushigi Yugi:

While visiting the National Library, junior-high students Miaka Yuuki and Yui Hongo are transported into the world of a mysterious book set in ancient China, "The Universe of The Four Gods." Miaka suddenly finds herself with the responsibility of being the priestess of Suzaku, and must find all of her celestial warriors for the purpose of summoning Suzaku for three wishes; however, the enemy nation of the god Seiryuu has manipulated Yui into becoming the priestess of Seiryuu. As enemies, the former best friends begin their long struggle to summon their respective gods and obtain their wishes

The series adapts Yuu Watase's original manga of the same name. It premiered in 1995. The manga also inspired three original video anime series. Watase ran the original Fushigi Yugi manga in Shogakukan's Shōjo Comic (Shocomi) magazine from 1992 to 1996.

iflix describes Assassination Classroom:

When a mysterious creature chops the moon down to a permanent crescent, the students of class 3-E of Kunugigaoka Middle School find themselves confronted with an enormous task: assassinate the creature responsible for the disaster before Earth suffers a similar fate. However, the monster, dubbed Koro-sensei (the indestructible teacher), is able to fly at speeds of up to Mach 20, which he demonstrates freely, leaving any attempt to subdue him in his extraterrestrial dust. Furthermore, the misfits of 3-E soon find that the strange, tentacled beast is more than just indomitable—he is the best teacher they have ever had!

The anime adapts Yusei Matsui's manga of the same name. The first 22-episode television anime series adaptation premiered in Japan in January 2015, and the second season premiered in January 2016 and ended in July 2016. The Ansatsu Kyōshitsu: 365-Nichi no Jikan compilation film premiered last November.

The original manga also inspired two live-action films, the second of which premiered in Japan in March 2016. Jō Aoto and Kizuku Watanabe launched a manga spinoff titled Koro-sensei Q! (Koro Teacher Quest!), which inspired both an anime short and a net anime.

iflix describes Hunter × Hunter: Phantom Rouge:

The greatest and most powerful Hunter is Isaac Netero, chairman of the Hunter Association. Decades ago he sealed away Jed, a Hunter who had mastered the use of On, the dark "shadow" of Nen. Now On users have reappeared at the Heaven's Arena "Battle Olympia" tournament. For Netero, this is the last mission: to protect the Association and the world from a threat driven by hatred and the thirst for revenge. And he's going to need all the help he can get in order to succeed.

The film debuted in January 2013, and ranked #1 on its opening weekend.

Animax Asia, which aired the film in Southeast Asia, describes Hunter × Hunter -The Last Mission-:

The strongest Hunters that once existed in the Hunter Association were split into two groups. With the latter group called the “Shadow”. Each group walks down their own respective paths. Not until when the Shadow faces discrimination and massacre. Because of that, the Shadow begins moving in order to exterminate all Hunters.

After a brutal attack from the Shadow, Killua got injured, and Kurapika, almost dead.

What is the real goal behind the attack? Now that the crimes of Netero & the Associations are announced, will Gon take the Shadow's path to find strength to save his friends? What will Gon do, when the many crimes of Netero and the Hunter Associations are unveiled?

The film opened in Japan in December 2013.

Both films are based on both Yoshihiro Togashi's original manga of the same name, as well as the 2011 television anime adaptation of the manga. The manga recently resumed in Japan after a hiatus since June 2016. The manga's last return from hiatus lasted from from April to June 2016. The manga had been on a two-year hiatus since 2014's combined 37th/38th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump in August 2014. What was initially a two-week hiatus for the author's serious lower back pain extended until April 2016.

The manga inspired two television anime series; the latest one ran from 2011 until 2014. Aside from the anime films, it also inspired several original video anime titles.
