XSEED Games will release the game with both physical and digital limited editions on September 26. The digital limited edition will include a digital soundtrack app, PS4 themes for those who preorder the game, and an "eternal summer camisole outfit" DLC that will only be available for the first month after launch. The physical limited edition will include a soundtrack CD, Blu-ray Disc with opening animations of previous games, 80-page artbook, and collector's box. Both the physical and digtal limited editions will also include a DLC costume set.

Marvelous will release the game in Europe on September 22. Its limited editions will include the same bonuses but the box art will be different. Marvelous began streaming an unboxing video on Thursday.

Senran Kagura Peach Beach Splash is an "action shooting game" where the characters are equipped with water guns and play on teams. The game features 36 total characters. It shipped for PlayStation 4 in Japan on March 16.

Marvelous and its Honey∞Parade Games subsidiary are developing four more Senran Kagura games. Marvelous' Japanese YouTube channel recently streamed a trailer for Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal, a PlayStation 4 remake of the 2012 Senran Kagura Burst action game for the Nintendo 3DS.

The franchise began with the release of the original Senran Kagura game on the Nintendo 3DS in September 2011. The games inspired a television anime in 2013. Funimation streamed the series as it aired in Japan, and released it on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in 2014.
