Crunchyroll Adds Mr. Osomatsu 2nd Season, Removes Magica Wars

Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will stream the second Mr. Osomatsu anime season as it airs in Japan beginning on October 2 at 1:35 p.m. EDT. In addition, the streaming service announced that its Black Clover simulcast will premiere on October 3 at 6:25 a.m. EDT. Both series will be available worldwide outside of Asia.

Crunchyroll will host the North American premiere of Black Clover at Anime Weekend Atlanta on Friday. FUNimation Entertainment will also stream a simuldub for the series. Viz Media acquired the digital streaming, electronic sell-through, home video, and merchandise rights for the Mr. Osomatsu anime, including the upcoming second season.

Crunchyroll also posted a notice that Magica Wars will be removed from Crunchyroll at the end of September. Wanna Be the Strongest in the World will be removed at the end of the month from all regions except the United States and Canada.

Crunchyroll streamed Magica Wars, a cross-media project that personifies the 47 prefectures of Japan, as it aired in Japan beginning in April 2014. The series consists of 26 four-minute episodes.

Crunchyroll streamed Wanna Be the Strongest in the World as it aired in fall 2013. It was available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, the Netherlands, Turkey, Germany, Central America, South America, Spain, and Portugal. Funimation later licensed and released the series with a dub.
