Young Champion publishes final installment in series that began in 1988

The November issue of Akita Shoten's Young Champion magazine published the final chapter of Ayumi Tachihara's Jingi Zero manga on October 24. The manga's 14th and final volume will ship on November 20.

Tachihara launched the manga in 2012. The magazine noted that it is the final chapter of the Jingi series.

Tachihara's original Jingi manga began in Young Champion in 1988 and ended in 2002 with 33 compiled volumes. The sequel manga JingiS ran from 2006 to 2012 and Akita Shoten published the series in 19 compiled volumes.

The manga revolves around the encounters of a former far-left terrorist named Toshiro and a delinquent named Jin. It inspired a 2-episode OVA anime in 1991-1992.

Tachihara's Maji! also inspired a 3-episode OVA anime in 1990-1991.
