Dagashi Kashi 2, Takunomi. Reveal Shared Timeslot, New Videos, Visuals

2 TV anime hold advance screening event on December 27

The staff of the anime adaptations of Kotoyama's Dagashi Kashi manga and Haruto Hino's Takunomi. (Drinking at Home) four-panel manga revealed on Wednesday that the upcoming television series will air together. Each episode of both series will be 15 minutes long. Dagashi Kashi 2 will premiere on TBS on Thursday, January 11 late at night at 2:28 a.m. (effectively Friday morning), and Takunomi. will follow at 2:43 a.m. Both anime will also air on Sun TV and BS-TBS.

The official websites for the anime also revealed promotional videos, new key visuals, and a joint advance screening event. The Dagashi Kashi 2 video previews Ayana Taketatsu's opening theme song "Oh My Sugar Feeling!!"

The two anime series will have an advance screening event for each of their first episodes at Tokyo's Shinjuku Wald 9 theater on December 27. Dagashi Kashi 2 cast members Ayana Taketatsu (voice of Hotaru Shidare) and Manami Numakura (voice of Saya Endō), as well as Takunomi.'s Ayaka Imamura (voice of Michiru Amatsuki) and Chika Anzai (voice of Nao Kiriyama) will have a talk show at the event.

Satoshi Kuwabara (Dr. Pinoko no Mori no Bōken, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal) is directing the anime at Tezuka Productions, replacing director Shigehito Takayanagi. feel., the previous studio that handled the first season, is now credited with setting cooperation. Mayumi Morita is replacing Takayanagi and Yasuko Kamo in series composition. Nana Miura (Young Black Jack) is replacing Kanetoshi Kamimoto for the character designs. Satoshi Motoyama is returning as sound director. Michiko Yokote (Cowboy Bebop, Gintama) is writing the scripts, and Nobuaki Nobusawa (returning from the first season) and Tomohata Ohsumi are composing the music.

Taketatsu plays Hotaru in the anime and previously performed the first season's ending theme. Seven-member idol group Hachimitsu Rocket will perform the ending theme song "Okashi na Watashi to Hachimitsu no Kimi" (The Candied Me and the Honeyed You).

The anime's returning cast includes:

  • Ayana Taketatsu as Hotaru Shidare
  • Atsushi Abe as Kokonotsu Shikada
  • Manami Numakura as Saya Endō
  • Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Tō Endō
  • Keiji Fujiwara as Yō Shikada

In addition, Chinatsu Akasaki is joining the cast as new character Hajime Owari, and Tomokazu Sugita will play Yutaka Beni, the manager of a convenience store that is across from Shikada's sweet shop. Sugita played Perry in the anime's first season.

Funimation describes the anime:

Kokonotsu “Coconuts” Shikada dreams of becoming a famous manga artist. The only problem—he's terrible. His real talent is selling the complex and delicious snacks in his father's “dagashi” shop. He never thought much about the family business until the trendy, eccentric Hotaru showed up. As a lover of “dagashi,” she can't let his talent go to waste and decides she won't stop 'til she's sold him on sweets.

The first 12-episode television anime series premiered in January 2016. Funimation streamed the series with subtitles as it aired in Japan, and also streamed an English dub. The company released the anime on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on April 18.

The Takunomi. video previews Maaya Uchida's opening theme song "aventure bleu." Additionally, the anime's staff revealed that singer-songwriter Mashinomi will perform the anime's ending theme song "Stoic ni Detox" (Stoically Detox).

The cast includes:

Ayaka Imamura as Michiru Amatsuki, 20 years old. She moved to Tokyo from Okayama to change jobs, and is in charge of a small business. She lives in apartment 101 of Stella House Haruno.


Chika Anzai as Nao Kiriyama, 26 years old. She is an employee at a clothing store and has a bright personality. She loves all alcohol, but especially loves beer. She lives in apartment 201 of Stella House Haruno.


Mikako Komatsu as Kae Midorikawa, 27 years old. She is a wedding planner, but she has no luck with men. She is good at cooking and cooks for the women of Stella House Haruno who drink at home. Her favorite type of alcohol is wine. She lives in apartment 204 of Stella House Haruno.


Maaya Uchida as Makoto Kiriyama, 21 years old. She is Nao's younger sister and is in her third year of university while also job hunting. Unlike her sister, she is calm and level headed. She is also beautiful and is often scouted on the street. Her favorite type of alcohol is sweet cocktails. She lives in apartment 203 of Stella House Haruno.


The comedy manga's story centers on Michiru Amazuki, a 20-year-old woman who moves to Tokyo for a new job. She moves into Stella House Haruno, a share house for women. Her housemates all have widely different jobs and ages, but as long as they have alcohol and delicious food, everything turns out fine.

Tomoki Kobayashi (Utawarerumono, Akame ga Kill!, Amagami SS+) is directing the anime at Production IMS. Katsuhiko Takayama (ef - a tale of memories, Ga-Rei Zero, Sakurada Reset) is writing the scripts. Shinpei Kobayashi (Castle Town Dandelion) is designing the characters. Takatoshi Hamano (Keijo!!!!!!!!, The Idolm@ster SideM) is the sound director at Magic Capsule. Masato Suzuki is composing the music, and Pony Canyon is producing the music.

Hino launched the manga in Shogakukan's MangaONE app in August 2015. Shogakukan published the manga's fourth volume on August 10, and will publish the fifth volume on December 19.
