Fate/Extella Link Game's Ad Reveals June 7 Launch Date

Servants Francis Drake, Astolfo, Scáthach added to PS4, PS Vita game

Marvelous began streaming a new television commercial on Monday for its and Type-Moon's Fate/Extella Link PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita game. The video reveals the game's June 7 release date in Japan.

The game will feature the new Servant Charlemagne of the Saber class (voiced by Ryōhei Kimura). His Noble Phantasm is Joyeuse Ordre, The Twelve Shining Swords That Encircle the World and Point to the Hero King.

Other confirmed Servants include:

  • Nero Claudius of the Saber class (voiced by Sakura Tange)
  • Tamamo-no-Mae of the Caster class (voiced by Chiwa Saito)
  • Francis Drake of the Rider class (voiced by Urara Takano)
  • Astolfo of the Rider class (voiced by Rumi Ookubo)
  • Scáthach of the Lancer class (voiced by Mamiko Noto)

The game will also feature a new design for Master, the game's protagonist and player character of the game. As with previous games in the series, the player is free to make a name and choose the Master's gender.

XSEED Games and Marvelous released Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe in January 2017. The game launched for the same platforms in Japan in November 2016. Marvelous released a Nintendo Switch version in Japan on July 20, in Europe on July 21, and in North America on July 25. XSEED Games also released a PC version on Steam on July 25.

Kinoko Nasu wrote the game's main scenario, and Hikaru Sakurai was the scenario assistant. Aruko Wada designed the characters, and Takashi Takeuchi was credited as the Fate series original character designer. Type-Moon produced the game's music.
