Utano☆Princesama Shining Live Mobile Game's Worldwide Release Set for Early 2018

English trailer streamed for rhythm game

KLab Inc. announced on Wednesday that its worldwide release for the Utano☆Princesama Shining Live smartphone rhythm game is slated for early 2018. The game will be available in both an English and Traditional Chinese, an a Simplified Chinese version will launch simultaneously in China.

KLab also began streaming an English promotional video previewing the game's original stories, rhythm gameplay, and Camera Mode.

The iOS and Android game launched in Japan on August 28 and has reached over 2 million downloads, including players who have downloaded the game more than once. In the game, players can create and train personalized teams out of the 11 ST☆RISH and QUARTET NIGHT idols. It features original stories starring the characters and a Camera Mode that utilizes AR technology.

KLab is offering a pre-launch bonus UR character for those who follow the game's Twitter or Facebook account.

The Uta no Prince Sama franchise began as a romance visual novel series by Broccoli and Nippon Ichi Software, with the first game in the series released on the PlayStation Portable in 2010. The franchise has inspired four anime seasons, and an anime film is slated for 2019.
