Trading card game includes simulation game elements

This week's issue of Kadokawa's Famitsu magazine is revealing the Hototogisu Tairan 1553 -Ryūko Aiutsu- game for Nintendo Switch on Thursday. The trading card game will have simulation game elements, and it is slated to launch via the Nintendo eShop in Japan this spring.

The game's theme will be the Battles of Kawanakajima, and the theme will change with future updates. In the game, players will collect cards drawn by more than 70 illustrators. Players will be able to use their decks to battle other players online. The game's four modes will let players battle by themselves or online against users throughout Japan, construct decks, and use coins earned through the two battle modes to buy cards.

The first game in the Hototogisu Tairan series debuted for PlayStation Portable in 2008.
