Nintendo lists unit sales for 7 switch titles

Nintendo revealed in its third quarter report on Wednesday that its Nintendo Switch console has surpassed the lifetime worldwide unit sales of its Wii U. While the Wii U has sold 13.56 million units, the Switch has sold 14.86 million units worldwide as of December 31.

The sales for Nintendo's top seven Switch titles as of December 31 are as follows:

  • Super Mario Odyssey: 9.07 million units
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe: 7.33 million
  • The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild: 6.70 million
  • Splatoon 2: 4.91 million
  • 1-2-Switch: 1.88 million
  • ARMS: 1.61 million
  • Xenoblade Chronicles 2: 1.06 million

Nintendo announced last month that the Nintendo Switch had sold more than 10 million units worldwide as of December 10. The system launched worldwide last March, and sold an estimated 330,637 units in Japan within three days of its launch. It surpassed 500,000 units in Japan in four weeks — outpacing Sony's PlayStation 4 over the same time period — and surpassed 1 million units in Japan by last June. The system has sold more than 4.8 million units in the United States, and is the fastest-selling home video game system ever in the United States (a record that Nintendo's Wii system previously held).
