Game's PC, PS4, PS3, Vita versions still supported

The official website of CAPCOM's Monster Hunter Frontier Z announced on January 31 that the game will end service for the Xbox 360 and Wii U versions on August 1. Players can move their accounts to the PC version, but not to the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, or PlayStation Vita versions.

Monster Hunter Frontier Z launched in 2016 as the latest version of CAPCOM's Monster Hunter Frontier Online game, which debuted in Japan for the PC and Xbox 360 in 2007. The game's previous version was Monster Hunter Frontier G in 2013. The game has not been released in the West.

The latest game in CAPCOM's Monster Hunter franchise, Monster Hunter: World, launched worldwide on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on January 26. The game shipped 5 million copies worldwide in its first three days to set a new franchise record. The figure includes digital sales. The game series debuted in 2004, and it has sold a total of more than 45 million copies as of January 28.
