PriPara All Idol Perfect Stage Switch Game's Trailer Teases Original Story

posted on by Karen Ressler
Game ships March 22 in Japan

TAKARA TOMY A.R.T.S began streaming a trailer for its PriPara All Idol Perfect Stage game for the Nintendo Switch last week. The trailer shows the game's original character creation, live performances, and story mode.

The game will have a new original story starring the player's original character and an anime story that summarizes the events of the anime. The game will also feature a new character named Mirai.

The "stylish and rhythm action" game will ship on March 22. The first copies of the game will bundle a limited card set with download codes for Shion and Hibiki. The package edition will likewise feature download codes for Laala and Aroma.

SynSophia's original PriPara arcade games debuted in 2014, and the Idol Time PriPara update launched on April 1 to tie in with the premiere of the television anime of the same name. The franchise also includes three Nintendo 3DS games, and the most recent game Idol Time PriPara Yume All Star Live! shipped on October 26.

In the story of Idol Time PriPara, Yui is a girl who lives in the town of Paparajuku, and who dreams of being an idol, even if she realizes that being an idol is next to impossible for her. Her friends often remark on how much she dreams about it. But then, the PriPara idol theme park opens in her town, and an idol named Laala is coming to town from Parajuku, which only makes Yui dream even bigger. The new PriPara theme park has been updated with new concepts. However, due to a system error, Laala is no longer able to PriPara Change.

The series has the keyword of "yume kawa," short for "yume kawaii" (dreamy cute), a contemporary real-life fashion look that emphasizes colorful hair and dreamy looks. The protagonist Yui is described as a "yume kawa" girl. An additional keyword for the series is "time," as the series introduced the new "Idol Time" system.
