Libra of Nil Admirari Game Gets Stage Play in November

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Otomate game's anime adaptation premieres on April 1

The official website for Nil Admirari no Tenbin (Libra of Nil Admirari), the television anime of Idea Factory and Otomate's Nil Admirari no Tenbin: Teito Genwaku Kitan romance game, announced on Friday that the game is getting a stage play adaptation. The stage play will run at the Zenrosai Hall: Space Zero in Tokyo from November 1-11. Shintarō Sugano is directing and writing the script for the play.

The story of the game is set in the Taisho Era at the beginning of the 20th century — except the era did not end in 15 years (as it did in real life) but lasted 25 years. To protect her family who fell from their former glory, a girl decides to marry a man whose name she does not even know. However, before she does, her little brother commits suicide in a mysterious fire, with an old book in hand.

The Imperial Library Information Assets Management Bureau — also known as "Fukurō" — then appears before the confused girl. According to the Fukurō, there exists books called Maremono, which exert a great influence on those who read it. Moreover, the girl gained the ability to see an "Aura" due to the incident with her brother. Despite her confusion, the girl chooses to leave the "birdcage" of her former life.

Otomate released the original game in April 2016. The company developed a sequel titled Nil Admirari no Tenbin: Kuroyuri Enyōtan that shipped last September. Satoi and Yuma Katagiri returned as illustrator and scenario writer, respectively.

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX and Sun TV on April 1 at 10:00 p.m. and 11:30, respectively. The series will also air later in April on BS Fuji and AT-X, and will stream on d Anime Store. The show's official site is listing the anime's Blu-ray Disc and DVD home video releases in Japan with 12 episodes. The home video releases will have four volumes that will ship one volume every month from June to September.
