Kuroko's Basketball: Cross Colors App Ends Service on June 14

1st smartphone game in franchise launched in July 2016

The official Twitter account for the Kuroko no Basuke: Cross Colors iOS and Android app announced on Monday that the game will end service on June 14. The game will stop selling its in-game currency "Kuro Coins" as of May 15.

Bandai Namco Entertainment launched the game in July 2016. The adventure game features an original story based on Tadatoshi Fujimaki's Kuroko's Basketball manga. The game is free to play but some in-game items cost extra.

Fujimaki published the 30-volume Kuroko's Basketball manga in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2008-2014. Viz Media publishes the manga in English.

The first anime season based on the manga aired from April-September 2012. The second season aired from October 2013 to March 2014. The third season aired from January-June 2015. Crunchyroll streamed all three seasons outside of Japan as they aired. Daisuki also streamed the third season. The manga also inspired the Gekijōban Kuroko no Basuke Last Game film based on the Kuroko no Basuke Extra Game manga. The film opened in Japan in March 2017. The manga has also inspired a series of stage plays, the latest of which is running this month and into May.
