Man Arrested for Sending Death Threats to Actress Non

Police from the Seijō area of Tokyo revealed on Thursday that they have arrested 47-year-old Yoshikatsu Tanaka in Kitami, Hokkaido for criminal intimidation, after he allegedly left death threats as comments on actress Non's blog.
According to police, the man allegedly used his smartphone to write four threatening comments such as "I'll kill you" (using a homophone for "kill") and "It seems you want me to kill you. I'll make it so" on Non's blog on March 29, 2017. Police said that they used the man's user name and tracked his IP address to verify his location. The company that runs the blog site noticed the comments and reported it to the Seijō police department, and Non filed a police report about the incident on April 19, 2017.
The suspect admitted to the act of writing intimidating comments using his smartphone.
Non played the protagonist Suzu in the In This Corner of the World anime film, and also played the character Tsukimi Kurashita in the 2014 live-action film Princess Jellyfish. She also played the character Otaka in the Onihei anime.
