Golden Kamuy Anime Casts Masakita Terasoma, Eiji Takemoto

Terasoma plays Kiroranke, Takemoto plays Tsukishima

The official website for the anime of Satoru Noda's Golden Kamuy manga revealed on Monday that Masaki Terasoma will play the character Kiroranke (seen below), an old friend of Asirpa's father, and a former combat engineer for the 7th Division. In addition, it revealed that Eiji Takemoto will play Hajime Tsukishima, a sergeant in the 7th Divsion and a subordinate of Tsurumi.

The Golden Kamuy television anime premiered on April 9. Crunchyroll is streaming the series with English subtitles as it airs in Japan, and Funimation will stream it with an English dub.

Crunchyroll describes the story:

The story takes place in the mighty Northern field of Hokkaido, the time is in the turbulent late Meiji Era. A post war soldier Sugimoto, aka, “Immortal Sugimoto” was in need of large sums of money for a particular purpose…. What awaited Sugimoto, who stepped into Hokkaido's Gold Rush with dreams of making a fortune, was a tattoo map leading to a hidden treasure based on hints inscribed on the bodies of convicts in Abashiri Prison?! The magnificent nature of Hokkaido vs vicious convicts and the meeting with a pure Ainu girl, Ashiripa!! A survival battle for a hidden treasure hunt begins!

Hitoshi Nanba (Fate/Grand Order: First Order, Gosick, Heroman, Baki the Grappler, We have always been 10 cm apart.) is directing the series at Geno Studio, and Noboru Takagi (Baccano!, Durarara!!, Altair: A Record of Battles, Kuroko's Basketball) is handling the series scripts. Kenichi Ohnuki (Gundam Build Fighters, Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters, Samurai Gun) is designing the characters. Jin Aketagawa is the sound director at Magic Capsule, Hiroshi Nakagawa is the Ainu language supervisor, Eugenio Uzhinin is the Russian language supervisor, and Kenichiro Suehiro is composing the music.
