RPG originally launched on PSP in April 2012

Spike Chunsoft announced on Friday that its Conception: Ore no Kodomo wo Undekure! (Conception: Please Give Birth to My Child!) game is getting a television anime adaptation by GONZO that will premiere in October.

Keitaro Motonaga (Jormungand both seasons, Date A Live both seasons, Digimon Adventure tri. film series) is directing the anime at GONZO. Yuuko Kakihara (Chihayafuru both seasons, Heaven's Lost Property, Digimon Adventure tri. film series) is handling the series composition, Yousuke Okuda (Is the order a rabbit? both seasons and special, Blend S) is adapting Shinichirou Otsuka's (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- ) original character designs for animation, and Masato Kōda (KonoSuba – God’s blessing on this wonderful world!!, Arpeggio of Blue Steel - Ars Nova, Knight's & Magic) is composing the music. Kōda also composed the music for the original game.

The story of the game revolves around Itsuki Yūge, a high school student who finds out on the day of his graduation ceremony that his cousin and childhood friend Mahiru is pregnant. Immediately afterward, Itsuki and Mahiru are taken to a magical world called Granvania, which is currently being invaded by monsters. The only people who can fight and exorcise the monsters are the "star children," and the star children can only be produced by the 12 "shrine maidens of the constellations." In order to defeat the monsters and return to his own world, Itsuki must father the star children with the maidens.

Spike Chunsoft released the game on the PlayStation Portable in Japan in April 2012.

A sequel game titled Conception II: Shichisei no Michibiki to Mazuru no Akumu launched in Japan for the PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS in August 2013. Atlus USA released the sequel game in N. America for both consoles under the title Conception II: Children of the Seven Stars in April 2014. Spike Chunsoft released the game on Steam in August 2016.
