DC Comics to Publish Batman and the Justice League Manga in October

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda

DC Comics announced in March that it will release Shiori Teshirogi's Batman and the Justice League manga in English. The first volume is slated for October 23, and will have 200 pages.

DC Comics describes the manga:

A young boy from Japan travels to Gotham City on a mission. A year before, his two parents—both scientists—were presumably killed in an expolosion that destroyed an experimental power plant. But the boy believes they may still be alive. At the very least, he's determined to find out what actually happened. But his quest soon leads to a run-in with some powerful forces—forces that require help from both Batman and the Justice League!

Teshirogi launched the manga in Akita Shoten's Champion RED magazine last June, and the manga is currently ongoing. Akita Shoten published the manga's second compiled book volume in Japan on April 20. Teshirogi also published the "Justice League Origin: Wonder Woman" one-shot manga last July.

Teshirogi's Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Meiō Shinwa manga ran from 2006 to 2011, and inspired two OVA series that totaled 26 episodes. Crunchyroll streamed the series, and Discotek released the series on DVD in November 2015. Teshirogi launched the Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas - Meiō Shinwa Gaiden manga in 2011, and ended it in April 2016.
