Walmart Lists Team Sonic Racing Game for Switch

The website of retailer Walmart is listing the Team Sonic Racing game for release for the Nintendo Switch this year. The listing includes a packaging image and three screenshots for the game.
The listing states that the game will have online multiplayer and local co-op modes with 12 players per race to let players face off or work together. The offline and online race modes will include Grand Prix Mode, Exhibition Mode, Time-Trial, and Team Adventure. When racing as a team, players will be able to share power-ups and speed boosts and release a Team Ultimate. Players will be able to use 14 types of offensive and defensive Wisps to help them defeat rivals. The game will have 15 playable characters and three character types including Speed, Technique, and Power classes. A variety of performance and skin customization options will let players control the appearance and handling of their vehicles.
Sega teased a new Sonic the Hedgehog racing game in a video in March. The letter "R" highlighted in the video is the same font as the Sonic R 1997 racing game. Sega released the Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed racing game in 2012.
