Goblin Slayer Gets New Serialized Side Story Novel

The newest chapter of Kumo Kagyu's Goblin Slayer Side Story: Year One spinoff novel revealed last Thursday that Kagyu will launch a new spinoff novel for his Goblin Slayer novel series. The novel, Goblin Slayer Gaiden 2: Tsubanari no Daikatana, will be serialized in the Gangan GA online magazine with nine planned chapters. The chapters are:
- Red Blade of Doom
- Proving Grounds of Wire Frame
- Bushwhacker and Highwayman
- Critical of the Tiger
- Trial of Champions
- Dead Space
- Lair of the Evil Samurai
- Daikatana of Singing Death
- Youth and Ash, Side by Side
SB Creative published the first volume of Kagyu's Goblin Slayer! dark fantasy novel series in February 2016, and Kōsuke Kurose (The IDOLM@STER Neue Green for Dearly Stars) launched an ongoing manga adaptation in Big Gangan in May 2016. Kento Eida began serializing a manga spinoff titled Goblin Slayer Side Story: Year One in September, and Kagyu began serializing the novel version on October 5.
Yen Press has licensed the original novel series and both Kurose and Eida's manga. The company is also publishing the Goblin Slayer: Brand New Day spinoff manga simultaneously with Japan.
The Goblin Slayer anime adaptation will premiere this year.
