Arashi's Masaki Aiba stars as veterinarian

Michi Narasawa's Boku to Shippo to Kagurazaka (Me and Tails and Kagurazaka, or Sakanoue Animal Clinic Story) manga is inspiring a live-action television series. The show will premiere on TV Asahi in December and air on Fridays at 11:15 p.m.

Arashi's Masaki Aiba will star in the series as veterinarian Tatsuya Kōenji. Yoshihiro Akagawa is directing and Junnichiro Taniguchi and Kei Kunii are writing the scripts.

The story takes place at an animal hospital in Kagurazaka, and focuses on the interaction between a veterinarian and the animals.

The manga began in Shueisha's Office You in 2012, and Shueisha published 12 compiled volumes from 2012 to 2017. Narasawa launched the ongoing sequel Shippo-chō no Kō-Sensei in the same magazine in May 2017.
