Angels of Death Anime Ad Previews Masaaki Endoh's Opening Theme

J.C. Staff's anime premieres on July 6

The official website for J.C. Staff's anime of the Angels of Death (Satsuriku no Tenshi) game began streaming a commercial for the anime on Wednesday. The video previews the opening theme song "Vital," performed by Masaaki Endoh and written and composed by JIN.

The anime will premiere on AT-X on July 6 at 8:30 p.m., before airing later that evening on Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, TV Aichi, Sun TV, and BS11. The show will later air on TVQ Broadcasting Kyushu. The anime will stream in Japan on Amazon Prime Video.

The cast includes:

Nobuhiko Okamoto as Zack

Haruka Chisuga as Rachel

Takahiro Sakurai as Danny

Natsumi Fujiwara as Eddie

Mariya Ise as Cathy

Houchu Ohtsuka as Gray

Kentarō Suzuki (MARGINAL #4 the Animation) is directing the anime at J.C. Staff, and Yoshinobu Fujioka (Requiem from the Darkness, Sadako, Tomie: Forbidden Fruit) is in charge of the series scripts. Miki Matsumoto is serving as both character designer and chief animation director.

"Waisuman" (Studio Tulip) is directing the background art, and Kana Tanabe is the color key artist. Yūji Kondō (REAL-T) is editing. Yoshikazu Iwanami is directing the sound, and Yasumasa Koyama is in charge of sound effects. Noisycroak is composing the music at Lantis.

Haruka Chisuga is singing the ending song "Pray" as her character Rachel. DECO*27 is composing and writing the song, while yuxuki waga is arranging.

Yen Press is releasing artist Kudan Nazuka and author Makoto Sanada's manga adaptation in English, and it describes the story:

Most girls waking up without any memory and meeting a serial killer would panic, but not Ray. In fact, far from being her biggest problem, killer Zack might just prove a convenient resource when it comes to finding a way out of the building in which they're both trapped!

The manga currently runs in Kadokawa's Comic Gene magazine, and the series' compiled volumes have more than 1 million copies in print. Kadokawa released the manga's seventh volume on April 27. Author Chiren Kina wrote a three-volume novel series for the franchise. Kadokawa published the third volume on April 27. negiyan also draws a four-panel spinoff manga in Comic Gene titled Satsuten!.

The franchise started out as Hoshikuzu KRNKRN's (Makoto Sanada) "psycho horror adventure game" that has serial releases on the "Den Fami Nico Game Magazine" website. The game is available in English on Steam under the title Angels of Death. Playism will release the game on Nintendo Switch.
