Koji Miyake is new CEO, Chairman; Stephan Bole is new COO, President

Nintendo of Europe announced on June 28 that Koji Miyake will be the company's new CEO and Chairman, while Stephan Bole (seen right) is the new COO and President. The title changes follow the departure of Satoru Shibata, the President of Nintendo of Europe for the past 18 years, as he returns to the main Nintendo office in Japan as Director and Senior Executive Officer.

Koji Miyake previously served as the General Manager of the Human Resources Department at Nintendo.

Stephan Bole previously served as Managing Director of Nintendo France from 2001 to 2005, the Senior Managing Director of corporate strategy for Nintendo of Europe from 2009 to 2015, and the Senior Managing Director of European subsidiaries and affiliates for Nintendo of Europe from 2015 to 2018.

Nintendo's previous Representative Director and President Tatsumi Kimishima also retired on June 28, with Shuntaro Furukawa taking up Kimishima's titles and positions. Kimishima is now an Executive Adviser for Nintendo.
