Cygames, Platinum Games' project to be localized in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish

Games website Gematsu confirmed with game developer Cygames on Monday that Granblue Fantasy Project Re:LINK, Cygames and Platinum Games' PlayStation 4 game based on Cygames' Granblue Fantasy smartphone game, will be localized in English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish. However, Cygames emphasized that it has not yet announced where the game will launch, or when.

Cygames previously streamed a promotional video for the game in January that highlights the game's world and combat system.

Project Re:LINK is an action role-playing game featuring illustrations by Cygames and CyDesignation. Cygames' Koichi Haruta is producing the game, Tetsuya Fukuhara is directing the game, Hideo Minaba is designing the characters, and Nobuo Uematsu and Tsutomu Narita are composing the music. The game will feature a new story.

Cygames released the original Granblue Fantasy smartphone game in 2014, and the game has more than 18 million downloads.

The first anime adaptation of the smartphone game premiered in Japan in April 2017 and ran for 13 episodes. The show's seventh and final Blu-ray Disc and DVD volume, which shipped on October 25, included an unaired episode titled "EXTRA 2." Aniplex of America streamed the series on the services Crunchyroll, Daisuki, and Anime Strike.

The Zankutinzeru-Hen (Zankutinzeru Arc) anime special debuted in Japan in January 2017. Crunchyroll, Daisuki, and Anime Strike streamed the special. Aniplex of America released the anime on Blu-ray Disc with an English dub on May 15 and July 17.
