NON STYLE's Akira Ishida stars alongside Yūma Yamato

Masayuki Katayama's No Mark Bakuhaitō manga is inspiring a live-action film. NON STYLE's Akira Ishida (first image below) will play Tanjūrō Bakuoka and Yūma Yamato (second image below) will play Tamotsu Tetsupeki.

Akifumi Tomizawa is directing and writing the script.

The mahjong-themed manga serialized from 1989 to 1997, and Takeshobo published the series in nine compiled volumes. The manga follows genius pro mahjong player Tanjūrō Bakuoka, who is the reigning king because of his skill at "bakuhai," or reading his opponent's hands and aiming for the remaining tiles. He is challenged by ordinary player Tamotsu Tetsupeki.

The manga inspired an SNES game in 1995.
