One Piece Anime Recasts Gold Roger With Masane Tsukayama

Tsukayama to voice Gold Roger in One Piece's next episode on August 12
The official website for Eiiichiro Oda's One Piece revealed on Friday that Masane Tsukayama will voice the One Piece anime character Gold Roger, after Gold Roger's previous voice actor Chikao Ohtsuka passed away in January 2015. Tsukayama is voicing Gold Roger in the 849th episode of the anime, which will air on August 12.
Tsukayama's anime roles have included PERSONA 5 the Animation's Igor, Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel I. presage flower's Zōken Matō, and Fullmetal Alchemist's Karl Haushofer.
The One Piece anime entered the current "Whole Cake Island" arc with the 783rd episode in April 2017, and is currently in the "Tea Party From Hell" part of the arc.
