Delayed viewing screens at TGB Sunway Pyramid on August 18-19

Aniplus-Asia announced last Friday that it will screen a delayed viewing of the "BanG Dream! 5th☆LIVE" for the BanG Dream! mixed media franchise in Malaysia on August 18 and 19 at the TGV Sunway Pyramid.

The concert took place at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba on May 12 and 13. The first day featured the franchise's Poppin' Party band, while the second day featured the Roselia band.

Bushiroad launched the BanG Dream! multimedia project in January 2015, and the company formed the Poppin' Party band for the project in February 2015. The band's members consist of voice actresses who portray the characters in the story, and they play the same instruments as their characters. The project also includes live performances.

The main BanG Dream! television anime's first 13-episode season from ISSEN and Xebec premiered in January 2017. Animax Asia aired a simulcast of the anime in Southeast Asia, and it describes the story:

Just like the sparkling sound “Star Beat” that she heard while looking up at the starry skies when she was young, Kasumi Toyama has been searching for something that would excite and make her heart go pit-a-pat.

After getting into high school, Kasumi comes across a star-shaped guitar in an old pawnshop. It is this fateful meeting that evokes the emotions that have been locked up within Kasumi.

Teaming up with four other girls who, like Kasumi, dream of a place that can make them shine, the five of them work towards realising their musical dream.

The BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! smartphone game launched in Japan in March 2017, and an English version launched in April. The game launched in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao last October.

The franchise announced in May that the franchise's main anime will premiere two more seasons by the SANZIGEN Animation Studio in January and October of 2019, respectively. The staff also announced then that the BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! game app is inspiring DMM.futureworks and SANZIGEN's BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! ☆ Pico mini anime which premiered on July 5.
