Hiroshi Takahashi's Jank Runk Family Manga Resumes on August 28

Manga ended 1st part, began hiatus in February

This year's 17th issue of Akita Shoten's Young Champion magazine announced on Friday that Hiroshi Takashi's Jank Runk Family manga will return in the magazine's next issue on August 28.

Takashi ended the manga's "first part" on February 27, and it went on hiatus immediately afterward.

The manga is a crossover with the OREN'S manga, which artist Yanse Kazu and Takahashi launched in Akita Shoten's Bessatsu Young Champion magazine in September 2015. The OREN'S manga is set in the aftermath of a great disaster and depicts the struggle for survival of men.

Takahashi launched the Jank Runk Family manga in Young Champion in September 2016. Akita Shoten published the manga's fourth compiled book volume on June 20.

Takahashi's Crows manga ran for 26 volumes, and Digital Manga Publishing partially published its sequel manga Worst in English. Crows also inspired the two-episode Kōkō Butō Den Crows OAV in 1994. The manga inspired three live-action films, with Takashi Miike directing the first two films, Crows Zero and Crows Zero II. Crows Explode, the third film, opened in Japan in April 2014.

Takahashi debuted the Crows Gaiden: Katagiri Ken Monogatari manga mini-series in Akita Shoten's Monthly Shōnen Champion magazine in June 2014. Akita Shoten published the manga's one compiled book volume in November 2014.
