Double Decker! Anime's Videos Highlight Main Characters

The official website for Double Decker! Doug & Kirill, an anime series that is "one part" of the "new Tiger & Bunny animation project," began streaming two new promotional videos for the anime on Friday. The videos highlight the anime's main characters.

The site also revealed new cast members earlier this month, including: (Note: Character name romanizations for Sophie and Apple are not confirmed.)

The site has also revealed a story synopsis:

The city-state Risvaletta. In the shadow of this city with two suns where people go about their tranquil everyday lives, crimes and illegal drugs run rampant. Above all, a dangerous, highly-fatal drug named "ANTHEM" is casting a dark shadow on the streets. The "Seven-O" special criminal investigation unit, whose speciality is to supervise the investigation of ANTHEM, institutes a "Double Decker System" policy of forming groups of two investigators.
Doug Billingham is a veteran investigator. And now arriving at his side is Kirill Vrubel, whose true ability as an investigator is unknown. An aloof veteran detective who is hard to get a read on, and a rookie detective who is too eager and often takes actions in vain. The story of this unconventional detective duo starts now.

The anime will premiere in Japan this fall. Crunchyroll will stream the anime, and will host a premiere screening of the anime's first two episodes at its Crunchyroll Expo event, which takes place on September 1 to 3.

Joji Furuta (Utano☆Princesama Legend Star, The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments director, episode director and storyboarder on original Tiger & Bunny series) is directing the series at Sunrise. Ryo Ando (Interviews with Monster Girls) is in charge of series production, and Tomohiro Suzuki (Tiger & Bunny, One-Punch Man, ACCA: 13-Territory Inspection Dept.) is returning to oversee the series scripts. Manga creator Masakazu Katsura (Zetman) is returning to design the main characters, and Norihiro Itagaki is returning from the Tiger & Bunny The Movie -The Rising- and Tiger & Bunny the Movie: The Beginning films to handle the animation character design. Yuki Hayashi (My Hero Academia, Haikyu!!, Death Parade) is composing the music.
