Masayoshi Satosho's Momiji no Kisetsu Manga Ends in Shonen Jump

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Shogi manga launched on May 14

This year's 40th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine published the final chapter on Monday of Masayoshi Satōsho's Momiji no Kisetsu manga.

The manga debuted in this year's 24th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump on May 14. Viz Media published the first three chapters of the manga in English as part of its "Jump Start" initiative.

Viz Media describes the series:

Momiji Kuramichi's brother, Sakura, was a genius shogi player famous for his aggressive style of play. But Sakura died from a chronic illness before he could realize his dream to become the Ryūō, the Dragon King. Momiji vows to take on his dream and rise to the top of the shogi world! But there's one problem — Momiji is really bad at shogi.

Shuieisha will publish the manga's first volume on Tuesday, and will publish the manga's second volume in November.

Satosho previously published a manga with the same name (but written differently) in Shueisha's Shonen Jump GIGA magazine. Shueisha published the manga's one compiled volume in December 2017.
