Jingai-san no Yome Anime's Promo Video Previews Protagonist's Inhuman Spouse (Updated)

Series of anime shorts premieres in October

The official website for the television anime of artist Akiwo Yasaka and author Yu Aikawa's Jingai-san no Yome (Non-Human Creature Wife) manga began streaming a promotional video on Thursday. In the video, protagonist tomari Hinowa (voiced by Daiki Yamashita) introduces himself and his new spouse.

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX on October 2 at 1:00 a.m. (effectively October 3 morning), and on BS Fuji on October 9 at 11:55 p.m. Each episode of the anime will be five minutes long.

Hisayoshi Hirasawa is serving as chief director, with director Takumi Shibata at studio Saetta. Izuro Ijuuin is designing the characters for animation and WORDS in STEREO is handling series composition. Kōhei Miyahara is composing music. Hi!Superb is performing the theme song.

The four-panel manga follows a 16-year-old male high school student named tomari Hinowa who marries a mysterious and fluffy lifeform named Kanenogi.

Yasaka and Aikawa launched the manga in June 2016 on Ichijinsha's Zero-Sum Online website, and Ichijinsha will publish the sixth volume on September 25 and the seventh volume on December 25. The creators are also drawing the side story manga Jingai-san no Yome: Yoimachi no Miko. Ichijinsha will publish a short story manga collection titled Jingai-san no Yome wa Inai (Non-Human Creature Wife Isn't Here), featuring parallel stories, on October 25.
