Drum controller confirmed for physical release in Europe

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe began streaming a trailer for its upcoming Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! game for Nintendo Switch on Friday.

The Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! Nintendo Switch game and the Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! PlayStation 4 game will ship in the Americas and Europe on November 2. Bandai Namco previously told news website Bemani Style that both games would be digital-only in the WEST., but the trailer confirms that there will be a physical edition for Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! with the drum set controller in Europe. Neither the physical edition nor the drum controller have been announced for North America.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! shipped for the Nintendo Switch in Japan on July 19. The game already had an English release in Southeast Asia on August 9.

The game includes new control features that are unique to the Switch console, including using the Joy-Con controllers to input the rhythm commands. The game features music from Nintendo games such as Super Mario Odyssey, Kirby's Return to Dream Land, and Yo-kai Watch. New to the game are "performance characters," which players can select to assist them during the game.
