4 anime series also streaming with subtitles on Crunchyroll

Funimation Entertainment announced on Tuesday that it will stream English dubs for the following series as part of its fall 2018 simuldub season:

  • Goblin Slayer
  • Ulysses: Jeanne d'Arc and the Alchemist Knight (Ulysses: Jeanne d'Arc to Renkin no Kishi)
  • Radiant
  • Senran Kagura Shinovi Master

Goblin Slayer, based on Kumo Kagyu's Goblin Slayer light novel series, will premiere in Japan on October 6, and Crunchyroll will stream the series with subtitles.

Yen Press has licensed both the novels and Kōsuke Kurose's manga adaptation, and it describes the series:

A young priestess has formed her first adventuring party, but almost immediately they find themselves in distress. It's the Goblin Slayer who comes to their rescue--a man who's dedicated his life to the extermination of all goblins, by any means necessary. And when rumors of his feats begin to circulate, there's no telling who might come calling next...

Takaharu Ozaki (Persona 5 the Animation -The Day Breakers-, Girls' Last Tour) is directing the anime at WHITE FOX. Hideyuki Kurata (Read or Die, Made in Abyss, Kamichu!) is in charge of series composition and is penning the scripts alongside Yousuke Kuroda (Jormungand, My Hero Academia). Takashi Nagayoshi (Girls' Last Tour animation director) is designing the characters.

Ulysses: Jeanne d'Arc and the Alchemist Knight, based on Mikage Kasuga's novel series, will premiere in Japan on October 7, and Crunchyroll will stream the series.

The novel series' story takes place in 15th-century France, during the Hundred Years' War with England. Montmorency, the son of a noble, immerses himself in the study of magic and alchemy at a school for knights. However, after France's defeat at Agincourt, the school is disbanded and Montmorency is forced to flee. While on the run he meets a miraculous village girl named Jeanne.

Shin Itagaki (Teekyū all nine seasons, Basquash!, Wake Up, Girls! New Chapter) is directing the anime at AXsiZ (Pandora in the Crimson Shell: Ghost Urn, Ms. Koizumi loves ramen noodles). Ryunosuke Kingetsu (Märchen Mädchen, Ninja Nonsense, Tales of Symphonia the Animation: Tethe'alla Episode) is handling the series composition. Jouji Sawada (Golden Kids) is handling the animation character designs, Ryousuke Naya (Magical Girl Site, Haitai Nanafa) is the sound director, and Taku Iwasaki (Gurren Lagann, Bungo Stray Dogs, Black Butler) is composing the music.

The television anime of Tony Valente's French comic Radiant will premiere in Japan on October 6 and Crunchyroll will stream the anime as it airs.

Viz Media licensed the comic, and it describes the story:

Seth is an aspiring wizard living in a pastoral village under the watchful eye of his mentor. Like all wizards, he is an “infected”—one of the few people that has survived contact with a Nemesis, creatures that fall from the sky and contaminate all they touch. His encounter gave him powers and led him to choose a path that seemed to be perfect—to become someone who hunts and fights the Nemesis. But Seth longs for a quest that goes beyond the simple hunt for monsters. He wants to find the place they come from, Radiant, and destroy it. Along with other wizards, he travels the world in search of Radiant, under the sinister eye of the Inquisition…

Seiji Kishi (Angel Beats!, Persona 4: The Animation, Yuki Yuna Is a Hero) is directing the anime at Lerche, while Daisei Fukuoka (Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School: Future Arc, Yuki Yuna is A Hero Season 2) is credited as series director. Senran Kagura Shinovi Master, the second television anime based on the Senran Kagura game series, will premiere in Japan on October 12, and Crunchyroll will stream the series as it airs.

Tetsuya Yanagisawa (High School DxD, Daimidaler: Prince vs. Penguin Empire) is directing the anime at TNK (Doreiku The Animation, High School DxD BorN). Yukinori Kitajima (BBK/BRNK, Brynhildr in the Darkness), who provided the original story for the first television anime, is returning to handle series composition and the script. Junji Goto (School Days, High School DxD BorN) is designing the characters and serving as chief animation director with Tsutomu Miyazawa (Samurai Bride, Soul Buster). Series producer Kenichirō Takaki is returning as "bakunyū producer" (large breast producer), and Keisuke Kawai (High School DxD BorN, Daimidaler: Prince vs. Penguin Empire production producer) is animation producer.
