Video game developer Jupiter announced on Thursday that it will release its Kemono Friends Picross Nintendo Switch game in the West on October 4. The game will launch in Japan on the same day.

The game is a collaboration between the Kemono Friends franchise and Jupiter's Picross series of games. The game will cost 1,080 yen (about US$9.75) in Japan.

The game will feature 300 puzzles from previous Picross and Mega Picross games. As players clear puzzles, they can meet characters from the Kemono Friends franchise. The game will feature an assist function and a tutorial so those who have never played a Picross game before can play. The game will also include a gallery mode where players can look at the images unlocked through the puzzles.

The Dōbutsu Biscuits musical group will contribute the song "Happy Biscuit" from their first major album Safari Drive as the game's opening theme song. The album will ship on October 4.

The Picross game franchise features picture logic puzzles. The franchise launched more than 20 years ago, and has seen iterations on various consoles such as Game Boy, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS, and Nintendo Switch. The game has also had crossovers with other franchises such as Super Mario Bros., Pokémon, and The Legend of Zelda, as well as Sanrio characters.
