Chō Keroro Gunsō UC: Keroro Robo Daikessen manga launches next month

The November issue of Kadokawa's Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine announced on Wednesday that Yūtarō Shido will launch a manga titled Chō Keroro Gunsō UC: Keroro Robo Daikessen (Super Sgt. Frog Ultra Cool: Keroro Robo's Epic Climactic Battle) in the next issue on October 26. Mine Yoshizaki is credited with the original work, and Bandai Spirits is credited with collaboration. The manga commemorates the 20th anniversary of Mine Yoshizaki's Sgt. Frog manga in 2019.

The announcement image above is an homage to an iconic poster that Gundam character designer Yoshikazu Yasuhiko drew for the first Mobile Suit Gundam - The Movie Trilogy.

The original manga is ongoing in Monthly Shōnen Ace, and Kadokawa published the 29th volume on May 26.

Tokyopop released 21 volumes of the manga and Viz Media released 20 of them digitally. Viz Media describes the story:

Sgt. Keroro, commanding officer of Planet Keron's invasion force, has a problem. After blowing his cover and losing his top-secret weapon, the frog-like alien has been cut off from the home world. To make matters worse, he's lost communications with the rest of his platoon. Now he has taken cover in the Hinata family household, where in exchange for doing his share of the chores, he gets his own room from which to secretly devise new plans of world domination!

The manga has inspired two television anime, the first of which FUNimation Entertainment released in North America. The manga also inspired five anime films.
