Sega West's Tatsuyuki Miyazaki appointed as Atlus USA CEO

Sega of America and Atlus USA announced on Monday that Ian Curran (seen right), Sega of America president and COO, will also become president and COO of Atlus USA. Curran will work with Tatsuyuki Miyazaki (seen below left), CEO of Sega West, "to further the financial goals" of Sega of America and Atlus USA.

Miyazaki will replace Naoto Hiraoka as CEO of Atlus USA. Hiraoka will now focus on his role of Atlus brand owner to lead the company's creative projects. Hiraoka will also remain on the board of Atlus USA and Sega of America.

Sega of America finalized its acquisition of Atlus USA in 2016. Sega now publishes all of Atlus USA's games in North America. Although Sega has the publishing rights to Atlus, Sega stated at the time of the acquisition that the the two companies would continue to work independently.

Atlus USA will release the Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight games for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in North America and Europe on December 4. The games were originally slated for early 2019.
