posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Anime also listed with 10 episodes; premieres on October 10

The official website for My Sister, My Writer, the television anime of Seiji Ebisu's Ore ga Suki nano wa Imōto dakedo Imōto ja nai (The One I Love Is My Little Sister But She's Not a Little Sister) light novel series, began streaming a commercial for the anime on Wednesday. The video previews the anime's opening theme song "Secret Story" by Purely Monster.

The site also revealed that the anime will have five Blu-ray Disc and DVD home video volumes in Japan, and it is listing 10 episodes for the anime. The volumes are slated to ship on December 21, January 30, February 27, March 27, and April 24.

The anime will premiere on the AT-X, Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and KBS Kyoto channels on October 10, and will also stream on the d Anime Store and AbemaTV services on the same day. It will then start on TV Aichi and TV Kyushu on October 11, and on BS11 on October 12.

The "awkward sibling romantic comedy" series centers around the younger sister Suzuka Nagami and the older brother Yū Nagami. Suzuka is a beautiful third-year middle school student who has excellent grades and is the student council president. She wrote a novel about a little sister who dotes on her older brother, and the novel wins a light novel award. After they discuss the matter, Yū is the one who debuts as a proxy light novel author instead of Suzuka, under the pen name Chikai Towano.

The main cast includes:

Tasuku Hatanaka as Yū Nagami

Reina Kondo as Suzuka Nagami

Yui Ogura as Mai Himuro, Yū's classmate who is actually a light novel author he admires

Chinatsu Akasaki as Ahegao W Peace Sensei, the illustrator from Great Britain for "Chikai Towano's" books

Kazusa Aranami as Sakura Minazuki, a much-anticipated rookie voice actress who was already chosen as the main heroine in her debut role

Hiroyuki Furukawa (My First Girlfriend is a Gal, My Wife is the Student Council President director and character designer, Hybrid x Heart Magias Academy Ataraxia director) is directing the series and adapting Gintarō's character designs for animation. NAZ and new studio Magia Doraglier are producing the series. Furukawa announced in September 2017 that he had established the new studio.

Yūichirō Momose (My First Girlfriend is a Gal) is in charge of series composition. Masakazu Miyake (Girls' Last Tour) is the art director. Kumiko Yanagisawa (Konohana Kitan) is the color designer. Kisuke Koizumi (Parasyte -the maxim-) is the sound director. Yashikin (My First Girlfriend is a Gal) is composing the music.

Junjō no Afilia (My First Girlfriend is a Gal) is performing the ending theme song "Ki・Shō・Ten・Ketsu・Jo・Ha・Kyu."

Ebisu launched the light novel series with illustrator Gintarō in 2016, and Kadokawa published the sixth novel on April 20. Kō Narita launched an ongoing manga adaptation in Kadokawa's Dragon Age magazine in December.
