God Eater 3 Game's Western Release to Include Both Japanese, English Audio

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Game launches for PS4 in Japan on December 13, for PS4/PC in N. America in early 2019

Bandai Namco Entertainment America revealed on Friday that its release of the God Eater 3 game will have both English and Japanese audio, a first for the franchise. The company also released new screenshots for the game, which "highlight the huge Ash Aragami players will have to overcome."

The game will debut in Japan on December 13 for the PlayStation 4, and then it will be available in North America in early 2019 for PS4 and Steam. The game will feature the new character, Yūgo Pennywort (voiced by Tomokazu Seki). Anime studio ufotable is returning to animate the opening sequence.

Bandai Namco Entertainment describes God Eater 3:

Earth no longer resembles the home we know of now. The Aragami, terrifying beasts that live only to consume, are carving a path of destruction and misery wherever they are encountered. To combat this threat an elite group of heroes known as God Eaters are called upon to save humanity. God Eaters are individuals who have been bestowed upon them the ability to wield powerful new God Arcs, special weapons powered by Oracle Cells and the only known weapons capable of destroying the monstrous Aragami. However, another mission is coming into focus; something is happening to the God Eaters and the line between light and dark has never been so thin. It's time to start breaking free from the cursed shackles that bind the souls of the God Eaters as the battle rages on around them.

The God Eater game franchise inspired a 13-episode television anime series in 2015. Aniplex of America released the anime with an English dub on Blu-ray Disc in two sets in November 2016 and January 2017.
