posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
2 battle game music clips also streamed

Square Enix began streaming a third introduction video on Sunday for its Romancing SaGa Re; Universe smartphone game. The video highlights various vendors in a town and several cut scenes.

Square Enix is also streaming a four-minute video highlighting the game's battle music. The game now has more than 150,000 pre-registered players.

Square Enix streamed a previous battle music video on October 10.

The previous two introduction videos featured a clip from the beginning of the game, basic battle, and a boss battle.

Romancing SaGa Re; Universe will feature characters from past entries in the series, and will have a story set three years after the events of Romancing SaGa 3. The game will be free to play with optional in-game purchases. Square Enix has not yet revealed a release window for the game.

Square Enix announced the game at Tokyo Game Show last month alongside a remastered version of the Romancing SaGa 3 game. Square Enix will release the HD remaster of Romancing SaGa 3 for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PC via Steam, PlayStation Vita, iOS, and Android devices in early 2019.

Square Enix released the smartphone port of Romancing SaGa 2 on iOS and Android in May 2016 in English worldwide. The company released the game on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC in Japan, North America, and Europe last December.

Square Enix released the Makai Tōshi SaGa (The Final Fantasy Legend in North America) game in 1989. Since then, there have been many installments in the series, including ports and remakes. Square Enix released SaGa Scarlet Grace on the PlayStation Vita in December 2016. The company released the game for the Switch, PS4, iOS, Android, and PC on August 2.
