Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! Switch Game's English Launch Trailer Streamed

Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! launches for Switch, Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! launches for PS4

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe began streaming a launch trailer for its Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! game for Nintendo Switch on Friday.

The Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! Nintendo Switch game and the Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! PlayStation 4 game launched in the Americas and Europe on Friday. A physical edition of Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! with the drum set controller is available in Europe. Bandai Namco Entertainment America did not release a physical version of either game in North America.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! shipped for the Nintendo Switch in Japan on July 19. The game already had an English release in Southeast Asia on August 9.

The game includes new control features that are unique to the Switch console, including using the Joy-Con controllers to input the rhythm commands. The game features music from Nintendo games such as Super Mario Odyssey, Kirby's Return to Dream Land, and Yōkai Watch. New to the game are "performance characters," which players can select to assist them during the game.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum Session! (Taiko no Tatsujin: Session de Dodon ga Don!) shipped for the PS4 in Japan in October 2017. The game also received an English release in Southeast Asia in the same month.

The game features more than 70 songs, including your name. theme song "Zenzenzense," Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Shūrai! Uchūjin Shiriri theme song "Road Movie," Kemono Friends theme song "Yōkoso Japari Park," and "Pen-Pineapple-Apple-Pen." Players can compete with friends remotely in "Friend Session Play" mode, or play against characters such as Doraemon in "Guest Session Play" mode.
