Bandai Namco Establishes Research Institute for Entertainment via AI, Other New Tech

New institute described as "spinoff" of Bandai Namco Group R&D department
Bandai Namco Entertainment announced on November 26 that it will establish a new wholly-owned research institute called the "Bandai Namco Research Institute" on April 1. Bandai Namco Entertainment describes the institute as a "spinoff" of the R&D department of its Bandai Namco Studios subsidiary company. The new institute will focus on researching AI technology for the creation of new entertainment, as well as developing other new technology.
Bandai Namco Studios president and CEO Hajime Nakatani will be the representative director for the new institute, while Bandai Namco Studios Head of Home Entertainment Development Unit Yasushi Omori is a board member.
