Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission Switch Game Reveals New Character

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Game launches in Japan on April 4

This year's combined sixth and seventh issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Monday that a new character named "Shiiras" (name spelling not confirmed) will appear in the story mode for Bandai Namco Entertainment's Super Dragon Ball Heroes: World Mission game for the Nintendo Switch.

Shiiras is a mysterious warrior who wears the logo of the Galactic Patrol. He fights with Trunks and the Supreme Kai of Time, and he is the key to the game's story mode. The issue featured a tagline for the character that said "I will execute my own justice." Toyotarō (Dragon Ball Super manga artist) designed the character.

The game will launch in Japan on April 4.

The game will include 1,160 cards and 350 characters from the first eight Super Dragon Ball Heroes arcade card games, as well as the first two versions of Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Universe Mission. The game will feature a split screen mode that emulates the Super Dragon Ball Heroes arcade game's two-screen gameplay, and will also feature seven-on-seven battles.

The latest installment in the game series is Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Universe Mission, which Bandai released in arcades in Japan on March 8. The games inspired a promotional anime project that debuted with two episodes in July. The sixth episode debuted on December 22.

Bandai Namco Games released the first Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission game, a Nintendo 3DS port of the Dragon Ball Heroes game, in 2013. Bandai Namco Games released the Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission 2 Nintendo 3DS game in 2014, and released the Dragon Ball Heroes: Ultimate Mission X game for the 3DS in April 2017.
