Funimation to Stream Dubs for Date A Live III, ENDRO!, The Quintessential Quintuplets Anime, More Star Blazers 2202

Funimation announced on Wednesday that it will stream the second part of the Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202 anime project, as well as the Date A Live III, ENDRO!, and The Quintessential Quintuplets anime this winter. All four anime will have simuldubs.

Funimation will stream a simuldub of Date A Live III, the third television anime season based on Koushi Tachibana's Date A Live light novel series, beginning on January 25 in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Ireland. The anime will have 12 episodes.

Crunchyroll is streaming the anime as it airs in Japan, starting on January 11. Crunchyroll has not yet confirmed the territories.

Shido is just an ordinary school boy, but, he's been recruited to help seal Spirits—the mystical creatures responsible for the spacequakes that threaten mankind. There's just one catch: the only way to seal a Spirit is to make her fall in love with him. Now that he's saved the world once or twice, more trouble is headed his way, and there's only so much one boy can handle.

Keitaro Motonaga is returning to direct the anime at J.C. Staff (AIC PLUS+ and Production IMS produced the previous two series respectively). Hideki Shirane is returning to handle the series composition, and Koji Watanabe (key animator for first two seasons) is designing the characters. Four-member musical unit sweet ARMS will perform the opening theme song "I Swear," and Eri Yamazaki will perform the ending theme song "Last Promise."

The simuldub of the television anime adaptation of Negi Haruba's The Quintessential Quintuplets (Gotōbun no Hanayome) manga will begin streaming on FunimationNow on January 30 in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

Crunchyroll will premiere the anime on January 10 at 5:00 p.m. EST. The stream will be available worldwide outside of Asia and the Middle East.

Kodansha Comics is releasing the manga digitally, and it describes the story:

One day, a poor high school second-year named Futaro Uesugi comes across a private tutoring gig with good pay. But his pupils are his classmates!! And they're quintuplets!! A-and they're all gorgeous girls, but they're also troublemakers who hate to study and are on the verge of flunking out! And his first task is simply gaining the sisters' trust?! Every day is a party! The curtain is rising on the Nakano quintuplets' quirky romantic comedy with five times the cute!!

Satoshi Kuwabara (Dagashi Kashi 2, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal) is directing the series at Tezuka Productions (Dagashi Kashi 2, Black Jack). Keiichirō Ōchi is in charge of series composition (Hinamatsuri, La Corda d'Oro Blue Sky). Michinosuke Nakamura (Hajime no Ippo Rising, Kids on the Slope) and Miyabi Uta (name romanization not confirmed) are designing the characters. Natsumi Tabuchi (Castle Town Dandelion, Clockwork Planet), Hanae Nakamura (Clockwork Planet, Convenience Store Boy Friends), and Miki Sakurai are composing the music.

Funimation will begin streaming the simuldub of Studio Gokumi's original television anime Endro~! on January 30 in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

Endro~! will premiere on Crunchyroll on January 12 at 1:30 p.m. EST in North America, Latin America, UK, Ireland, Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa.

In the land of Naral Island, a land of magic and swords, humans and monsters live together. Once upon a time, there used to be a terrifying Demon Lord, but long, long ago the first Hero defeated the Demon Lord that appeared on Naral Island. The Demon Lord would revive again and again throughout the ages, but every time a Hero would appear to defeat it... Now these young girls attend an Adventurer's Academy to prepare them to defeat the Demon Lord that will one day rise again.

This is the beginning of a laid-back fantasy life with no sign of the Demon Lord for these four who hope to become a party of heroes.

Kaori (Yuyushiki, How to keep a mummy) is directing the "everyday fantasy" anime. Takashi Aoshima (Yuruyuri - Happy Go Lily, Love Lab, Himouto! Umaru-chan) is in charge of series composition. Namori (Yuruyuri) is the original character designer, and Haruko Iizuka (Sisters of Wellber, Tamayura, Children of the Whales) is adapting the original character designs for animation.

Funimation will stream a simuldub of the second part of the Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2202 (Uchū Senkan Yamato 2202: Ai no Senshi-tachi or Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love) anime sequel project on February 2 in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.

Funimation streamed the first part (episodes 1-13) beginning in May 2018.

The anime's story is set in the year 2202, three years after the Yamato's return from the planet Iscandar. The people of Earth restored their planet with the Cosmo Reverse System, and they signed a peace treaty with Garmillas. In addition to reconstruction, Earth developed a new defense fleet that includes the state-of-the-art battleship Andromeda. The Earth goes down a path of military expansion, despite Starsha Iscandar's wishes. The Yamato helps accomplish this so-called peace, but it comes at the price of many invaluable sacrifices. The goddess Teresa, who prays for tranquility in space, calls the Yamato to a new voyage. The threat of Gatlantis is sweeping over the universe and approaching Earth.

Nobuyoshi Habara (Fafner and Fafner EXODUS director, episode director and storyboard writer for Star Blazers 2199) is directing the new anime, and Harutoshi Fukui (Mobile Suit Gundam UC original novel writer, screenplay for Harlock: Space Pirate) is writing and overseeing the scripts. The late Yoshinobu Nishizaki is credited with the original work, and his son Shoji Nishizaki (Star Blazers 2199 planning, producer for Space Battleship Yamato Resurrection) is the executive producer. Additionally, Makoto Kobayashi is serving as assistant director, and Junichiro Tamamori and Yasushi Ishizu are the mechanical designers. Nobuteru Yuki is the character designer, and Akira Miyagawa is composing the music.
